Shinseungback Kimyonghun
Shinseungback Kimyonghun is a Seoul based artistic duo consisting of computer engineer Shin Seung Back and artist Kim Yong Hun. Their collaborative practice explores technology and humanity. Their work has been exhibited internationally including Ars Electronica Festival, ZKM, Vienna Biennale and MMCA.

Nonfacial Mirror
The mirror of the artistic duo Shinseungback Kimyonghun turns away from his Narcissus if the latter tries to see himself in it. But if the visitor covers his face, the mirror remains motionless.
Equipped with a facial recognition system allowing it to detect if a face presents itself to him, the mirror questions our relationship to our image and our narcissistic need in the face of artificial intelligence technologies capable of using this same image.
